Baltimore's Miracle on 34th Street, a yearly holiday tradition in the neighborhood of Hampden, is officially coming back this year after COVID put a damper on it in 2020.
The official Facebook page "Miracle on 34th Street in Hampden Hon" shared the news.
"Hi, hons! Yes, we plan on decorating, & we are expecting a special guest straight from the North Pole at our Miracle on 34th Street Lighting at 6 pm on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend! Hope you can visit & enjoy the lights!"
Residents on the street were seen starting to put up their extravagant decorations about two weeks ago.
Baltimore City Councilwoman Odette Ramos said in a statement:
I am so excited to have the Miracle on 34th Street Back this year! For the past almost 50 years, residents of the 700 block of W 34th Street in Hampden bring joy to everyone with festive lights. Last year, I encouraged people not to go to prevent the spread of COVID, the limits on outdoor gatherings, and lack of a vaccine. However, this year I am very excited to welcome everyone to Hampden to enjoy this amazing display! The display begins at 6pm on Saturday, November 27th and ends on New Year's Day.
