Cyber.mil Becomes DISAā€™s New Home for Cyber Standards

The Defense Information Systems Agency has announced a new home for its cybersecurity standards.

The recently unveiled cyber.mil now houses DISAā€™s Security Requirements Guides and Security Technology Implementation Guides. These were previously hosted on the Information Assurance Support Environment portal, https://iase.disa.mil, which the agency said itā€™s no longer updating.

The new DOD Cyber Exchange portal at cyber.mil, which can only be accessed by employees with a Pentagon-issued Common Access Card, features security guides, security content automation protocols, a STIG viewer capability, a STIG applicability tool and a Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline download.

DISA said these changes were announced at a May 16 event in Baltimore by Sue Kreigline, chief of DISAā€™s cyber standards branch. The branch also unveiled a new STIG collaboration portal, which enables technology discussions among subject matter experts. The new website is only for CAC holders and can be found at https://software.forge.mil/sf/go/proj2530?uri=/sf/go/proj2530.
