US Restaurants Facing Great Hardship Under Pandemic

New York City Restaurants Help The Community During Coronavirus Pandemic

WASHINGTON, DC — With more than 8 million restaurant employees out of work, the food industry has been hit extremely hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

Sean Kennedy, Executive Vice President of the National Restaurant Association says that no other industry has suffered more employment or sales losses as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. According to Kennedy, more than 8 million restaurant employees have been laid off or furloughed – which means about 2 out of every 3 restaurant employees has lost their jobs.
