The Opioid Crisis Doesn't Stop During this Pandemic

The coronavirus is wreaking havoc on every aspect of our normal lives, and causing a lot of stress and mental health issues along the way. And, before we even had heard a thing about this pandemic, the U.S. was already in the midst of an opioid overdose epidemic. The combination of them both is hitting some people very hard. I spoke with Angela Caldwell, the program coordinator and lead counselor at Montgomery Recovery Services, an outpatient treatment program that specializes in the treatment of opioid use disorder.
