A Dozen Arrests Made In Baltimore Protests Saturday

Demonstrators took to the streets of Baltimore Saturday to speak out against the death of George Floyd.

BALTIMORE, MD -- Demonstrators took to the streets of Baltimore Saturday to speak out against the death of George Floyd after a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck during an arrest.

The protests were mostly peaceful, though more than a dozen demonstrators were arrested on charges related to aggravated assault, burglary, and attempted arson.

The protests are a continuation of the demonstration held Friday evening where demonstrators made a stop in front of City Hall chanting "I can't breathe" words said by Floyd as a bystander recorded the incident.

Following the evening demonstration a group of protesters gathered at Baltimore Police Headquarters demanding to talk with Police Commissioner Michael Harrison. A police helicopter flew overhead to disperse the crowd.

More demonstrations are planned for Monday.
