Signs Of Real Estate Market Rebound Appear

The real estate market feels pressure under COVID-19 but promising signs of a rebound emerge.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The red-hot real estate market might be slowing down. The National Association of Realtors reports pending home sales dropped nearly 22 percent in April. Most states were under stay-at-home orders that month, which likely led to the huge decrease.

Still, it could be a quick recovery. There are signs that home sales are increasing now that many states have reopened their economies. Michael Sheridan, owner of the DC area real estate franchise, DC Metro Lifestyle, talks with 104.7 WONK FM's Jen Richer about promising signs he's seeing in the market, and how the role of realtor is changing under the pandemic.
