(Washington, DC) -- White House COVID coordinator Jeff Zients is touting President Biden's plan to ensure that all adult Americans are eligible for vaccinations by May 1st. Zients told reporters that efforts are underway to get vaccine supplies to more than 20-thousand pharmacies across the U.S. He also noted the massive stimulus bill will help expand testing. Zients added the fight against the coronavirus is "far from over." CDC Director Rochelle Walensky insisted the nation must remain vigilant.

Dr. Walensky again urged everyone to get vaccinated and stressed the ongoing importance of wearing facemasks and practicing safe social distancing. She also strongly urged child care providers to take advantage of vaccination opportunities. Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith cited efforts to grow the pool of vaccinators across the country.
