A Havre de Grace man is behind bars after he allegedly threatened to kill police officers and subsequently drove a SUV into a police station.
Surveillance video from the Havre de Grace police station captured the moment 24-year-old Timothy Kahl plowed through the front door of the building and crashed into a wall Sunday night.
Officials say the events leading up to the moment involved officers responding to a report that Kahl had allegedly hit multiple vehicles. One of Kahl's neighbors says he pushed her new car right up against her house.
Police officers who responded say that Kahl threatened to kill them before taking off. After slamming into the police station, he got out of the vehicle and further threatened officers before being detained.
Kahl's mother says her son suffers from mental illness.
Thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries in the ordeal. Hoping he gets the help he deserves.
