2022 has started with a bunch of winter weather in the DMV region with two snowfall events and one freezing rain event for good measure. And if some of the current weather forecasting predictions come to fruition, we could see another significant snowstorm this weekend.
Fox 5 DC meteorologist Mike Thomas shared some interesting forecasts to Twitter Tuesday afternoon, showing the American and European models. One predicts only about an inch or two of snow along the I-95 corridor, while the other predicts several inches.
The National Weather Service says there is a Slight to Enhanced chance of a winter storm threat Sunday into Monday.
It's obviously too far out to make any sort of definitive statement (we are talking about the DMV here), but it's a storm that meteorologists have been keeping a close eye on for the past couple of days and will continue to do so as things become more concrete.
