A judge in California issued a temporary restraining order to Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, after Apple says a woman from Virginia sent him hundreds of messages that included threats, and showed up at his condo in California last year.
Apple claims 45-year-old Julia Lee Choi of McLean, Virginia sent Cook emails including images of loaded guns and trespassed on his property. The company claims she showed "erratic, threatening and bizarre behavior" and claimed she "may be armed and is still in the South Bay Area."
Choi, who refers to herself as Julia Lee Cook, also claimed Tim Cook is the father of her twins. She reportedly tweeted about her imaginary relationship with Cook about a dozen times on Halloween in 2020 and emailed him about 200 times between late October and mid-November the same year.
Among some of the other things Choi reportedly did included registering phony companies with "highly offensive corporate names" listing Tim Cook as an employee, emailed him asking to be roommates with a warning to "empty the condo," drove to his home but was turned away by security only to have the cops called on her, and demanded $500M in cash from him in an email.
A court hearing is scheduled for March 29th.
