Local McDonald’s to Host COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics in Partnership with DC Health To Help Prepare for Fall and Winter Months

Select McDonald’s restaurants in the Washington, D.C., area will host COVID-19 vaccination clinics starting August 13

(Washington, DC) – Local McDonald’s Owners/Operators of Washington, D.C., are hosting five COVID-19 vaccination clinics in partnership with DC Health, from August 13 through August 27. The effort is designed to help prepare DC residents for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.

“We take COVID-19 illness prevention seriously and want to provide a convenient alternative for those looking to receive a vaccine or booster,” said Craig B. Welburn, President of McDonald’s Capital Business Unit and local McDonald’s Owner/Operator. “Partnering with DC Health to provide access to this resource is important and we appreciate the partnership and shared commitment.”

McDonald’s locations where the clinics will take place are in communities that have been reported to have lower levels of vaccination rates. View the schedule for McDonald’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics below:

“We are grateful to McDonald’s Owners/Operators of Washington, D.C., for extending their restaurant locations in these areas where we would like to increase the percentage of residents with COVID-19 vaccinations,” said Patrick Ashley, Senior Deputy Director, DC Health – Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Administration (HEPRA). “We look forward to partnering on these clinics and hope that residents find it helpful to access vaccines in communities where they reside.”

The vaccination clinics will have all COVID-19 vaccines and boosters available, except for the Janssen vaccine, for residents of nearly all ages. Residents do not need an appointment to receive a vaccine, and each clinic will provide coupons for a free McDonald’s item of their choice along with other giveaways (swag useful for school or the office) for the first 75 people to receive a vaccine or booster.
