S. Michele Swinson is a native Washingtonian and a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Psychology/Behavioral Science. Ms. Swinson is the Founder and CEO of AprilMay Company Inc (AMCI). AMCI is a Pediatric Behavioral Health Care Organization (PBHCO) that provides a full spectrum of behavioral health services specific to the prevention, health promotion, and treatment of children, adolescents and families suffering from mental health disturbances and autism.
Ms. Swinson has been leading AMCI for six years, pioneering innovative specialty pediatric programming with a behavioral focus. She has a proven track record of designing, implementing and directing specialized curriculums that improve the mental and behavioral health of children and families throughout the Greater Washington area. Ms. Swinson is strategic in her objectives to pioneer initiatives to address the inequities in pediatric mental health, which has led to working with various government agencies, community organizations, managed care, public and charter schools.
