(Washington, DC) Despite Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser lifting some restrictions for outdoor gatherings, the Smithsonian Museums are taking a wait and see stance. The Smithsonian Institute's Public Affairs office says no decision has been made on when to reopen any of its museums and that when a decision is made, it will likely feature a phased-in approach similar to last year. The museums have been closed since the pandemic started, but in September four of its museums temporarily reopened to patrons for the first time since the pandemic started.
